A new tool for the generation of e-liquid emissions for toxicological assessment
Company: Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine – ITEM
E-cigarettes are widely used and seen as less harmful than traditional cigarettes — but they’re not risk-free. Emissions need thorough toxicological assessment, yet current testing lacks standardized device settings, leading to inconsistent results. This presentation introduces a new device that vaporizes e-liquids across all relevant temperatures under precise, reproducible conditions, enabling more reliable safety evaluations.
